How It All Started

My introduction to amateur radio really kicked off thanks to a magazine given to me by a cousin of mine who was an active radio amateur. It was the May 1980 edition of Radio Communication (RadCom) and in it was a short article on building a QRP (low power) transmitter.

I have since sourced a copy of this magazine again (thanks to ebay) since my copy was lost many years ago. It is simple 4-transistor design by G3WIF built into a tobacco tin.

That simplicity of design is what drives me most in electronic and software design today.
